Software Engineer in Test - SDET (L5) - TV Release Quality

Netflix is seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join the TV Release Quality team. This role focuses on testing, measuring, understanding, and communicating the overall quality of the TV streaming application. The ideal candidate will be passionate about quality and contribute to improving test automation frameworks, metrics, observability, and alerting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a team of senior foundational TV UI engineers
• Develop innovative solutions to improve understanding of TV streaming application quality
• Enhance observability, alerting, dashboarding, and tools to communicate product quality
• Strengthen test automation foundations and signals
• Work within Netflix's custom TV platform space
• Build strong relationships with engineers and leaders across multiple teams

Requirements:

• Expertise in TypeScript/Javascript
• Experience in defining testing strategies for large applications
• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex web automated testing failures
• Strong data analysis skills
• Ability to work with ambiguous requirements
• Excellent debugging skills in multi-tier web architecture
• Creative problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
