Description For Software Engineer (L4) - Cloud Games Platform

Netflix is seeking a Software Engineer (L4) for their Cloud Games Platform. This role involves architecting, authoring, and maintaining highly-complex software stacks for their cloud gaming service. The ideal candidate should have experience in developing and optimizing high-performance, real-time applications, strong low-level coding skills in Golang and/or C++, and be comfortable working with a variety of technologies. The role requires expertise in optimizing both local and total system performance, including efficient use of Internet connectivity. The position offers the freedom to execute, learn, and pivot, with the responsibility to be self-directed, collaborative, and insightful. Key qualifications include experience with game development, media processing, and/or networking, as well as comfort in working with complex codebases and various hardware platforms. Additional desirable skills include experience with low-level hardware optimization, game console development, embedded systems, DevOps, modern graphics APIs, and game engine internals.
