Description For Software Engineer (L6), Ads Demand Management

Netflix, a global entertainment powerhouse with 283 million paid memberships across 190+ countries, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer (L6) for their Ads Demand Management team. This role is part of the Ads Platform Engineering team, which is responsible for building and maintaining Netflix's advertising systems following their successful launch of an ad-supported tier in November 2022.

The position focuses on three key pillars of pre-sales support: CRM integration, account/credit management, and order management/media planning. As one of the newest entrants in the rapidly growing Connected TV advertising space, Netflix aims to build unique value propositions that differentiate them from competitors and establish market leadership.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive domain experience in Sales Enablement, particularly in managing guaranteed and non-guaranteed inventory reservations for both direct sales and programmatic advertising. Strong technical skills in cloud-based applications and modern programming languages are essential, along with a deep understanding of ad tech landscapes and digital marketing trends.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge advertising systems that leverage Netflix's world-class content delivery ecosystem. The team uses innovative approaches combining client and server-side ad insertions, state-of-the-art content delivery systems, and advanced content understanding capabilities.

The compensation package is highly competitive, ranging from $230,000 to $960,000, with the flexibility to choose between salary and stock options. Netflix offers comprehensive benefits including health plans, mental health support, 401(k) with employer match, and generous time-off policies. The company's unique culture values inclusion, diversity, and autonomous decision-making, making it an ideal environment for those who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced settings.
