Senior Server/Backend Software Engineer, Spry Fox Studio

Netflix's Spry Fox studio is seeking a Senior Server/Backend Software Engineer to help build an original, non-violent MMO. As part of a small, talented team, you'll be responsible for architecting and implementing backend services and game servers for a large-scale cozy MMO.

Key responsibilities include directing backend architecture, implementing core server systems like network replication and state persistence, coordinating deployments across hundreds of machines, ensuring security, and managing high-volume data persistence systems.

The ideal candidate has shipped online multiplayer games, implemented gameserver features in C++ or Rust, built scalable services in Python/Rust/Go, and has experience with cloud environments (AWS) and databases. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with artists, programmers, and designers.
