Description For Technical Program Manager 5 - Growth Engineering

Netflix is seeking a Technical Program Manager 5 for their Growth Engineering team. This role is part of the Growth Commerce Platform, which builds and operates massively scaled, highly available, and resilient commerce systems managing 99% of Netflix's revenue across 270 million+ consumers. The ideal candidate will spearhead cross-functional initiatives to increase the resilience of tier-0 commerce flows, lead execution for ambitious goals to evolve commerce at Netflix, and manage complex deliverables across teams. Key responsibilities include defining repeatable templates for execution, tracking engineering risks, and managing cross-functional dependencies. The role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and experience in high-scale distributed systems. This position offers an opportunity to shape the future of Netflix Commerce and work on cutting-edge live streaming technology.

Required Skills:

  • Understanding of high-scale distributed systems and architectures

Qualifications:

  • Background in Computer Science or related Engineering field
  • 4+ years driving large-scale software projects
  • 4+ years as a backend engineer building or testing stateful systems
  • Domain knowledge of Commerce (subscriptions, payments, partnerships, billing)
  • Experience managing complex cross-functional deliverables
  • Self-starter who can tackle ambiguous problem spaces
