Description For Electrical Engineer Intern

As an Electrical Engineering Intern at Neuralink, you will be part of the Robot Electrical Engineering Team, responsible for all electrical engineering aspects of Neuralink surgery. This includes designing surgical robotics, supporting operating room equipment, and manufacturing custom consumables. The role offers substantial autonomy and the opportunity to work on impactful projects such as actuator/robotics stage designs, end effectors for robots, image-capture pipelines, telemetry systems, networking architectures, and patient sensors/tools.

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree or early career in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Demonstrated circuit board design experience
  • Ability to explain how your designs have performed in the real world
  • Design experience integrating microcontrollers, FPGAs, or SoMs into PCBAs
  • Comfortable navigating and writing basic scripts on Linux machines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Portfolio showcasing projects or designs
  • Capable of bringing up microcontrollers/embedded linux machines by writing basic test firmware
  • Competency in C, C++, Python, or Rust
