The position focuses on ensuring the surgical robot and its subassemblies undergo rigorous testing during both design and production cycles. You'll be responsible for designing testing infrastructure, writing test protocols, and ensuring the surgical robot meets the highest standards of reliability for human surgeries.
Key responsibilities include driving resolution for non-conforming robots, providing guidance on design controls, analyzing data trends, debugging hardware & software failures, and defining maintenance schedules. You'll work with cutting-edge technology while ensuring safety and effectiveness in medical procedures.
The ideal candidate brings a strong engineering background with experience in mechanical systems design, test development, or complex system debugging. You'll need a Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or software engineering (or equivalent experience) and at least 2 years of engineering experience in system reliability.
