Description For Test Engineer

Neuralink is pioneering the development of brain-computer interfaces, creating revolutionary devices that enable direct communication between the human brain and digital technology. As a Test Engineer on the Robot Reliability and Test Team, you'll play a crucial role in transforming our surgical robot from an experimental device to a robust system capable of performing thousands of surgeries.

The position focuses on ensuring the surgical robot and its subassemblies undergo rigorous testing during both design and production cycles. You'll be responsible for designing testing infrastructure, writing test protocols, and ensuring the surgical robot meets the highest standards of reliability for human surgeries.

Key responsibilities include driving resolution for non-conforming robots, providing guidance on design controls, analyzing data trends, debugging hardware & software failures, and defining maintenance schedules. You'll work with cutting-edge technology while ensuring safety and effectiveness in medical procedures.

The ideal candidate brings a strong engineering background with experience in mechanical systems design, test development, or complex system debugging. You'll need a Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or software engineering (or equivalent experience) and at least 2 years of engineering experience in system reliability.

Working at Neuralink offers unique benefits including equity, excellent medical coverage, 401(k), parental leave, and the opportunity to work with leading experts across different fields. The company culture promotes rapid advancement for high performers and offers a chance to directly impact the future of human-computer interaction.

Join us in revolutionizing how humans interact with technology while helping restore capabilities to those in need. This role offers both technical challenges and the satisfaction of contributing to life-changing medical innovations.
