Responsibilities For Project Engineer - Solar Industry

  • Produce project drawings, site plan layouts, and CAD blocks using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Generate orthographic and angle views of the tracker and components
  • Conduct topography and hydrology analysis for optimal tracker placement
  • Perform value engineering to minimize project costs
  • Collaborate with engineers on product configurations and drafting standards
  • Assess site information and select suitable product types
  • Coordinate structural, civil, and controls designs
  • Provide design support for tracker layouts and construction plans
  • Manage RFIs and submittals for construction support
  • Collaborate with controls team on communications design
  • Supervise third-party drafting vendors

Requirements For Project Engineer - Solar Industry

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years experience as a Project Engineer in utility-scale solar tracker projects
  • Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS software, and SolidWorks
