As a Sales Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in bridging technical expertise with customer success. The position involves working with the sales and business development teams to secure solar projects, leveraging your technical knowledge to demonstrate the benefits of the Nevados All Terrain Tracker (ATT).

The role requires a unique blend of technical expertise in civil engineering and solar technology, combined with strong customer-facing skills. You'll be responsible for optimizing pre-sales projects, conducting design reviews, and helping customers transition to terrain-following tracker systems. The position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge solar technology while making a significant impact on the clean energy sector.

Nevados offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $90,000-$125,000, plus bonus potential and equity options. Responsibilities For Sales Engineer

  • Become an expert in the Nevados product and project design processes
  • Optimize projects in pre-sales phase with focus on civil, grading, and hydrology
  • Help customers evolve their design strategies for terrain-following trackers
  • Conduct design reviews for solar projects
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure alignment between technical specifications and client expectations
  • Stay current on industry trends and regulatory requirements
  • Partner with Business Development and Inside Sales
  • Educate customers on civil design considerations

Requirements For Sales Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
  • Experience in civil and hydrology engineering for utility-scale solar
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and Excel
  • Experience in topographical analysis (plus)
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Coding experience is a plus (AutoCAD scripting)
  • Comfortable working with customers and outside engineers
