Field Service Engineer / Field Support Technician role at nGeneration, a well-established company delivering technical services and hardware for the Retail and Hospitality Industry. The role involves installing, integrating, and testing EPoS hardware and software applications, as well as providing on-site support and troubleshooting.
Key Details:
- Salary: £29,057 per annum (Including On-Call Supplement & Outer London Living Weighting Allowance)
- Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
- Working Hours: 13 Hour Shifts, 3 Days on 3 Days off rota basis (inclusive of weekends and bank holidays)
- Locations: North East, North West, Central, South East & South West (UK-wide travel and overnight stays required)
Responsibilities:
- Visit customer sites to install, refurbish, and maintain various types of technical equipment
- Conduct site surveys and audits for clients
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical, hardware, or software issues
- Setup Wi-Fi devices and identify faults with data network cables
- Document troubleshooting steps and actions
Requirements:
- Experience in IT Technical Support, Electronic Equipment Installation, Telecoms or Broadband Engineering
- Full UK Manual Driver's License (essential)
- Technical mindset with a logical and methodical approach to troubleshooting
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Willingness to travel daily and for overnight stays
