Description For Field Service Engineer - Sheffield

nGeneration is seeking a Field Service Engineer / Field Support Technician for a full-time, permanent position. The role involves daily visits to client locations to install, refurbish, and maintain various types of technical equipment, including EPoS systems, chip and pin devices, tablets, digital menu boards, media screens, kitchen management systems, routers, and Wi-Fi.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting site surveys and audits
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical, hardware, or software issues
  • Setting up Wi-Fi devices and identifying faults with data network cables
  • Providing on-site equipment swap-out services

The ideal candidate should have experience in IT Technical Support, Electronic Equipment Installation, Telecoms or Broadband Engineering, or a similar environment. Experience with EPoS systems is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

Work schedule: 13-hour shifts, 3 days on, 3 days off rota basis (including weekends and bank holidays)
