Nielsen is seeking an organized, detail-oriented team player to join the Engineering team as a Software ML Engineer. Nielsen's Audience Measurement Engineering platforms support the measurement of television viewing in more than 30 countries worldwide. The Software Engineer will be responsible for defining, developing, testing, analyzing, and delivering technology solutions within Nielsen's Collections platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement machine learning models and frameworks, with a preference for PyTorch
- Work with web technologies including Java, Python, JavaScript, React/Redux, and Kotlin
- Follow best practices for software development and deployment
- Utilize relational databases, big data technologies, and SQL
- Collaborate using tools like GIT, GitFlow, JIRA, Gitlab, and Confluence
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Drive change within the organization with a solution-focused approach
- Write and automate unit/integration tests
- Debug and troubleshoot complex systems
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with 6+ years of software experience. They should have a strong understanding of statistical analysis, mathematical data manipulation, and the AWS ecosystem. Experience in building RESTful APIs is a plus.
