Description For .Net Developer

Nielsen One Application (N1 Apps) team is seeking a talented .Net Developer to join their international engineering team. This role offers an opportunity to work on innovative software solutions used worldwide, collaborating with a diverse team spanning India, Europe, and the US. The position focuses on backend development using .NET Core, working with microservices, and AWS cloud infrastructure.

The role combines hands-on coding with modern development practices including Test-Driven Development, DevOps, and Agile methodologies. You'll be part of a culture that values learning and experimentation, with opportunities to participate in guild meetings and influence architectural decisions. The team emphasizes collaboration through code reviews and pair programming, while working on challenging tasks using cutting-edge technologies.

As a backend engineer, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining microservices, implementing monitoring solutions, and ensuring high-performance applications. The position requires a strong foundation in C#, .NET Core, and experience with cloud services, particularly AWS. You'll be part of an on-call rotation supporting 24/7 operations and will work closely with DevOps, Data, and Frontend engineers.

Responsibilities For .Net Developer

  • Write code with emphasis on Test-Driven Development
  • Write unit tests, integration tests and API tests
  • Support application 24/7 based on team on-call rotations
  • Participate in code reviews and pair programming
  • Participate in daily standups, sprint refinement, and sprint planning meetings
  • Troubleshoot and solve complex problems within the application
  • Follow Agile principles and translate business requirements to Agile stories
  • Implement application monitoring, orchestration and performance optimization
  • Practice DevOps and SecOps for continuous delivery

Requirements For .Net Developer

Python
PostgreSQL
Kubernetes
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • 3-10 years of experience with Dotnet Core and Relational Databases (PostgreSQL)
  • 3-10 years of experience developing microservices using REST
  • 3-10 years of experience with C# Dotnet WPF framework and Windows UI development
  • 1-3 years experience working with AWS services
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines in GitLab for Kubernetes (EKS) using Docker
  • Experience with monitoring tools like DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana
  • Fluent in English (C1 level)
  • Understanding of OOP and functional programming principles
  • Experience with Test Driven Development
