Principal Data Engineer - AWS

Nielsen is seeking a Principal Data Engineer for AWS to join their Audience Measurement Engineering platforms team. This role supports the measurement of television viewing in over 30 countries. The ideal candidate will have exceptional skills in programming, testing, debugging, and problem-solving, as well as effective communication and writing skills.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, testing, and supporting complex software solutions for data-driven applications
• Understanding end-to-end environments and adopting standard platform tools
• Working on AWS cloud infrastructure in a DevOps capacity
• Leading development best practices and participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Mentoring and reviewing code/design of offshore team members
• Designing and building complex data-driven applications for TV, Digital/Internet, and Radio measuring systems

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 9+ years of software development experience
• 5 years of experience with Git, SQL, Hadoop, Spark, AWS, and automation technologies
• 3 years of experience with Spark, Python, Test Automation, and CICD Pipeline Development
• Experience with DBT Core, Airbyte, Airflow, and Docker
