Python Developer

Join the Media Technology team at Nielsen as a Python Developer to design and develop the process of cloud migration for software used globally in Television Advertisement Measurement for TV and Radio markets. The environment combines AWS cloud and on-premises solutions, with ongoing migration to AWS cloud. Backend environments are Linux-based, developed in Python using Pandas, with PostgreSQL as the primary relational database.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, testing, and documenting new software features
• Contributing to the migration of current solutions to AWS cloud
• Gathering functional requirements through analysis of existing systems
• Investigating application incidents
• Performing code reviews

Required competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Python and Pandas
• Experience with PostgreSQL and PL/pgSQL or other relational databases
• Basic Linux administration skills
• At least intermediate level of English
• Three years of working experience in a related field

Nice-to-have competencies:

• Experience in AWS cloud application development
• Basic C#/WPF knowledge
