Responsibilities For Senior Backend/Data Support Engineer
- Monitor, maintain and support production assets in AWS including Collections and Crediting
- Perform system reviews, track AWS updates and notifications, assess impact on systems
- Ensure daily delivery commitments are met per SLAs with no delay
- Automate manual processes and introduce new best practices
- Execute post deployment impact analysis and monitoring
- Perform data analysis from multiple data sources and highlight anomalies
- Provide first-level troubleshooting and analysis
- Monitor AWS systems performance and advise on infrastructure changes
- Be available for production alerts and assess severity
- Document processes and procedures in RunBooks
- Maintain records and logs of releases, upgrades, issues and actions
Requirements For Senior Backend/Data Support Engineer
- Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, Science or related technical field
- 4+ years experience in supporting and maintaining large AWS systems
- Good knowledge of AWS ecosystem and services
- SQL programming skills for data analysis
- Python programming knowledge
- Knowledge of AWS security best practices, IAM roles, security groups
- Experience with AWS Monitoring, Alerting and Automation tools
- Knowledge of Unix and Windows environments
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Detail oriented and problem solver
