Senior DevOps Engineer

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Nielsen, you will be responsible for planning and deploying production servers on AWS, managing Kubernetes clusters, monitoring infrastructure, and supporting development teams. Your role will involve developing and automating applications on AWS, leading technical discussions, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IAC), and ensuring the availability, performance, scalability, and security of production systems.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing, automating, and enhancing AWS-based applications
• Deploying Infrastructure as Code to improve platform efficiency
• Designing and implementing low-latency networking products
• Building automated tests, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving across the platform
• Implementing best practices and architecture improvements
• Contributing to cost management through efficient resource utilization

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with AWS Cloud Services in a 24x7 uptime environment
• Strong knowledge of Linux and shell scripting
• Experience with deployment technologies like Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Gitlab, Jenkins
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Scala, and SQL
• Deep knowledge of AWS Cloud Computing and DevOps concepts
• Experience with orchestration frameworks and containerization
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
