Nielsen, a leading media measurement and analytics company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Meter Back Office (MBO) team. This role focuses on processing data collected from field devices and developing ETL applications for Television Audience Measurement.

Responsibilities For Senior Software Engineer - Java, AWS

  • Design, code, and test microservices and container based applications on AWS
  • Plan, develop, execute and maintain automated unit and functional test cases
  • Develop modular, robust automation scripts for CICD integration
  • Build platform reusable code and components using modern design patterns
  • Support product owner in defining future stories and technical requirements
  • Conduct peer code reviews and maintain continuous delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Support Production issues and work on enhancements

Requirements For Senior Software Engineer - Java, AWS

Java
Kubernetes
  • 5+ years of hands-on software development
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science
  • Strong knowledge of microservices and event based architectural principles
  • Experience with AWS cloud services (EKS, EMR HBase, EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, SNS, Elasticache)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools (GitLab, jUnit, Terraform, JFrog, Jacoco, SonarQube)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Cloudformation
  • Knowledge of Linux platforms and shell scripting
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience developing cloud-hosted containerized applications on Kubernetes
