You'll be working within the Digital SDK teams which spans globally. This group is responsible for building our SDKs for content measurement as part of Nielsen's Audience Measurement. Your specific team will be responsible to build services and UIs to support our complex entitlement needs for our current and future web applications.

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with frontend developers to design and develop functional, robust APIs
  • Writing both unit and integration tests, and developing automation tools for daily tasks
  • Developing high quality, well documented, and efficient code
  • Managing and optimizing scalable distributed systems in the cloud
  • Optimizing internal and external applications for performance and scalability
  • Communicating regularly with stakeholders, project managers, quality assurance teams, and other developers
  • Recommending systems solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchased alternatives

Key Skills Required:

  • 5+ years of experience developing iOS and Android apps or experienced with Swift, Kotlin, and Java
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
  • Strong understanding of fundamentals of computer science and engineering
  • Proficient in developing backend systems and services
  • Proficient in deploying and manipulating systems on Windows and Linux
  • Experience with database systems, with knowledge of SQL
  • Ability to write effective unit, integration, and API tests
  • Strong communication skills
  • Sound problem-solving skills
  • Team collaboration skills
