The position involves working on Nielsen's Audience Measurement Engineering platforms that support television viewing measurement in over 30 countries.
The ideal candidate will be at the forefront of implementing and managing machine learning solutions, working with technologies like LLMs, GenAI, and handling prompt engineering. You'll be responsible for the end-to-end ownership of ML services, from architecture to deployment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
As a Staff ML Engineer, you'll lead a pod and serve as the technical leader for all ML/AI Engineering challenges. The role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, requiring both deep ML knowledge and the ability to guide teams. You'll work on sophisticated problems in media measurement while leveraging cloud technologies and modern ML frameworks.

Responsibilities For Staff Machine Learning Engineer
- Fully own services built with ML Scientists including scalability, availability, metrics, and alarms/alerts
- Be responsible for service latency
- Perform data quality checks & onboarding data to cloud for modeling
- Handle Prompt Engineering, FT work, Evaluation, Data
- Manage end-to-end AI Solution architecture, latency tradeoffs, LLM Inference Optimization
- Lead ML engineering for a pod and be the technical leader for all ML/AI Engineering issues
- Handle Control Plane, Data Plate, Platform Engineering
Requirements For Staff Machine Learning Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree
- 8+ years of software experience
- Experience with Machine learning frameworks and models
- Experience having led multiple projects leveraging LLMs, GenAI and Prompt Engineering
- Exposure to real-world MLOps deploying models into production
- Knowledge of working in a cloud environment
- Strong understanding of LLMs, GenAI, Prompt Engineering and Copilot
- Comfort in Python and Java
