The role demands a hands-on professional who will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the performance of Nimble's robot fleet. Responsibilities For Robotics Support Engineer

  • Diagnose issues for Nimble's fleet of robots
  • Read and interpret specifications, diagrams, manuals and other documentation
  • Investigate robot logs for issues with mechanical, electrical, and software systems
  • Work with software, hardware, and robotic engineering teams to test and root cause issues
  • Develop new standard operating procedures for maintenance and diagnostics tasks
  • Alleviate operational issues with Nimble's Robotics and Fulfillment software
  • Help prioritize hardware and software improvements using data-driven approach
  • Provide timely response to operations and maintenance teams

Requirements For Robotics Support Engineer

Python
Linux
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing/production environment or 2 years with BS in engineering
  • Hands-on experience with robotics and mechanical systems
  • Experience using electrical tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
  • Demonstrated excellence with simple scripting languages (Python)
  • Strong technical curiosity and debugging skills
  • Ability to physically repair mechanical equipment
  • Experience using Linux day-to-day
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication and documentation
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
