As a Performance Test Engineer, you'll collaborate with software engineering and testing teams, provide testing estimates, and meet project timelines. You'll be responsible for reporting bugs, supporting quality activities within Agile delivery, and staying updated with the latest industry developments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing complex test scenarios using tools like Jmeter, Blazemeter, Postman, and LoadRunner
- Performing performance engineering and improvement activities
- Participating in architecture and design reviews
- Analyzing system performance using various profiling tools
- Collaborating with business and application teams to enhance system performance
The ideal candidate will have:
- 8+ years of professional experience
- 3-5 years of experience in microservice development, Java/J2EE performance tuning, and DB performance tuning
- Strong knowledge of performance testing tools and monitoring systems
- Experience in service-oriented architecture and RESTful APIs
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Responsibilities For Performance Test Engineer
- Collaborate with software engineering and testing teams
- Provide testing estimates and meet project testing timelines
- Report bugs/errors discovered per standardized tools and processes
- Support Testing and quality activities within Agile delivery
- Design complex test scenarios using Jmeter, Blazemeter, Postman, and LoadRunner
- Perform Performance Engineering & Performance Improvement activities
- Participate in architecture and design reviews
- Analyze system performance using profiling tools
- Devise and conduct experiments to evaluate performance impacts
- Prepare detailed status reports and monitor defects and issues
- Collaborate with Business/Application teams to improve system performance
Requirements For Performance Test Engineer
- A minimum of 8+ years of proven professional experience
- 3-5 years' experience in microservice development, Java/J2EE performance tuning, DB performance tuning, Garbage collection and Heap analysis
- Good knowledge of Jmeter 4.0, Blazemeter, Postman and LoadRunner tools
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like Graphana, AppDynamics, Datadog
- Proficient in designing Performance Test Scripts (UI and API) for enterprise applications
- Experience in service-oriented architecture, and RESTful APIs
- Strong knowledge of performance-tuning SQL queries
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience
