Responsibilities For Quality Automation Engineer
- Analyzes and tests software features
- Continuously re-evaluates the test strategy
- Defines, implements, and executes the functional, regression, and acceptance test strategy
- Test planning, test automation, test environment setup/teardown, exploratory and manual testing, defect logging and verification
- Defines, creates, and maintains test data as required
- Supports (2nd level) and troubleshoots problems with existing applications
- Creates automated test cases in partnership with Developers and Product Managers
- Works collaboratively as part of the development team
Requirements For Quality Automation Engineer
- Overall 5+ years of experience in software testing and test automation
- Experience in testing applications, services, and user interfaces
- Hands-on experience in test automation and using dynamic languages
- Experience with open-source tools/language Java, JRuby, Selenium or equivalent
- Familiarity with defect management systems
- Should be well versed with validating RESTFull and SOAP APIs
- A bachelor's degree in information technology, software development management, software engineering, computer science, or a related field
