Noah Medical is at the forefront of medical robotics, developing a next-generation robotic platform for early diagnosis and treatment across multiple medical indications. We're seeking a Metrology Engineer to join our innovative team and play a crucial role in our mission to revolutionize robotic surgery.
As our Metrology Engineer, you'll report to the Sr. Supplier Engineering Manager and be responsible for supporting our on-site metrology lab. You'll work closely with Supplier Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Operations to perform dimensional and tolerance stack analysis and investigations.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Leading improvements in metrology lab equipment, operations, and process strategies
- Developing procedures for automated and manual data collection of in-process measurements
- Coordinating equipment IQOQPQ
- Providing expertise on GD&T best practices and ensuring accurate datum schemes and tolerances
- Supporting QC Specialists in inspection processes and developing new measurement methods
- Conducting Gage Analysis and Machine acceptance
- Analyzing dimensional data to identify issues and monitor accuracy through various measurement systems
- Programming metrology equipment and maintaining measurement work instructions
- Providing production support on quality concerns and implementing countermeasures
- Standardizing processes and training others on metrology engineering best practices
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 4-6 years of experience in quality, metrology, or engineering
- Proficiency with metrology software and equipment (Zeiss Calypso, MicroVu Inspec, Keyence IM Series)
- Strong understanding of GD&T and CAD design software (SolidWorks)
- Experience with ERP (NetSuite) and PLM (Arena) systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
