As a Sr. Robotics and Controls Engineer, you'll join our dynamic Robotics Team, collaborating with clinical, product, and hardware design teams to create user-centric solutions. Your role will involve designing control systems, developing calibration strategies, creating mathematical models, and executing experiments to ensure optimal robot performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing control algorithms for precise robot movements
  • Developing calibration procedures for nonlinear systems
  • Creating mathematical models to predict and optimize robot behavior
  • Designing and executing comprehensive testing procedures
  • Collaborating across engineering disciplines for effective system integration
  • Developing high-standard software in Python and C++
  • Hands-on work with hardware and understanding user needs
  • Contributing to risk analysis and documentation for medical products

The ideal candidate will have:

  • M.S. with 3+ years of experience or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Controls, Robotics, or related Engineering disciplines
  • Strong background in control system development and implementation
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of kinematics, dynamics, and feedback control
  • Experience with rapid prototyping in Python and C++

Responsibilities For Sr. Robotics and Controls Engineer

  • Design and implement control systems for robot behavior
  • Develop calibration strategies for nonlinear systems
  • Create mathematical models of nonlinear systems
  • Design and execute experiments to evaluate control system functionality
  • Collaborate with peers across different engineering disciplines
  • Develop high-standard software for algorithm implementation, testing, and integration
  • Work hands-on with hardware and understand mechanical design and user needs
  • Contribute to risk analysis, requirements, and documentation for medical products

Requirements For Sr. Robotics and Controls Engineer

Python
  • M.S. with 3+ years of experience or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Controls, Robotics, or related Engineering disciplines
  • Experience with controls system development, modeling, and implementation on hardware systems
  • Thorough theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in kinematics, dynamics, feedback control, sensors, and actuators
  • Ability to work independently and solve challenging problems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with rapid prototyping algorithms in Python and C++
