Software Data Engineer - LD

Northstrat is seeking a highly motivated Software Data Engineer to play a critical role in ensuring the successful acquisition and management of mission-critical and mission support data sets. The ideal candidate will work closely with a team of experts to design and implement data solutions for clients in the military space. This hybrid role requires some on-site work in Colorado Springs, CO, with flexibility for remote work.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing Java-based software capabilities
• Designing enterprise APIs and RESTful web services
• Working with Microservices architecture
• Implementing Object Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigms
• Collaborating in an agile software lifecycle
• Troubleshooting and working under pressure with multiple deadlines
• Keeping up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies

Requirements:

• Current U.S. Government TS/SCI level security clearance
• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering with Modern Java Frameworks and Libraries
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience with Linux, configuration management tools, and DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time and work in a hybrid environment

Preferred skills:

• Experience with cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of distributed databases, NoSQL databases, and full text-search engines
• Scripting experience
• Familiarity with Big Data Platform
• Understanding of AGILE methodologies and software development tools
