This position combines deep technical engineering expertise with hands-on project execution and a strong sense of ownership. You'll be at the forefront of designing, planning, sourcing, and constructing ground station sites worldwide. Your responsibilities will span from developing site layouts and sourcing hardware to analyzing different site locations and their impact on critical business metrics.

The ideal candidate is a high-performing problem-solver with proven experience in delivering large-scale, fast-paced projects. You'll need to seamlessly switch between multiple engineering disciplines and collaborate cross-functionally with diverse teams. Your role will involve building and maintaining relationships with international partners, including network providers, contractors, and logistics teams.

Key responsibilities include owning the business outcome of site placement and design, developing cost-effective and reliable antenna network integrations, and supporting real-time operations. You'll also travel to sites to support antenna deployments and apply learnings to improve processes.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in engineering or science, 5+ years of relevant experience, and willingness to travel. Preferred skills include proficiency in electrical and mechanical drawings, hands-on field experience, understanding of electrical power systems, and knowledge of fiber network infrastructure.

Responsibilities For Global Site Engineer

  • Own business outcome of where we place sites, how they are designed, and how quickly we execute them
  • Develop site layouts and source hardware to integrate our antenna network, prioritizing speed, cost-effectiveness, and reliability
  • Analyze and trade different site locations, relating them back to critical business metrics (throughput, satellite talk time, costs, etc.)
  • Build and maintain relationships with international partners, including network providers, contractors, and logistics teams
  • Travel to sites and support antenna deploys, applying learnings to improve deployment processes and speed
  • Support real-time operations, reviewing the health of network and antennas. Develop engineering solutions to improve our network reliability

Requirements For Global Site Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science discipline
  • 5+ years of relevant experience working in engineering, supply chain, or operations
  • Willingness to travel to domestic and international ground station sites as required
