Description For Frontend Mobile Engineer

Novig is revolutionizing sports betting through a commission-free P2P exchange model that replaces traditional sportsbooks. Founded by Harvard graduates with experience at Jane Street and BoA, the platform guarantees users the best lines by enabling direct betting against friends or the market rather than the house.

The company recently closed a $6M seed round from notable investors including YC, Lux, Soma, Paul Graham, Joe Montana, and the founders of Instacart and Dropbox. With $300B bet annually on sports in the US and rapid market growth, Novig is well-positioned to disrupt the industry's current model of egregious margins and discriminatory practices.

As a Frontend Mobile Engineer, you'll be instrumental in building the client-side of Novig's web and mobile applications. Key responsibilities include:

  • Building user apps using React and React Native
  • Diagnosing and resolving compatibility issues
  • Balancing functional and aesthetic design
  • Taking ownership of critical UIs crucial to user experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field
  • Strong expertise with TypeScript, React, React Native, Node, and GraphQL
  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfort working independently and with small teams

Novig offers competitive compensation with salaries at the top of industry benchmarks and significant equity ownership. The comprehensive benefits package includes full health coverage, 401(k) matching, HSA contributions, and daily stipends for food/commuting.

This is an opportunity to join an innovative startup transforming sports betting through technology while working with a talented team passionate about creating an efficient, fair and profitable wagering experience.
