We're seeking an Analytics Engineer to join our Strategy and Analytics team in a role that sits at the intersection of data engineering and business intelligence.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to directly impact Novo's growth by building and maintaining crucial data infrastructure that drives decision-making across the organization. You'll work with modern data stack technologies including Snowflake, Metabase, and potentially tools like Fivetran, dbt, and Heap. The role combines technical expertise in SQL and data modeling with business acumen to support various teams including credit, growth, marketing, and banking.

As an Analytics Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing full-stack analytics solutions, improving data culture, and supporting a hypothesis-driven testing environment. The ideal candidate will bring 2-4 years of relevant experience and a strong foundation in quantitative analysis, demonstrated through a degree in fields like Computer Science, Economics, or Mathematics.

Working in our hybrid environment (minimum 3 days in office) in either New York City or Miami, you'll be part of a mission-driven team that's passionate about helping small businesses thrive. We offer competitive compensation ($125,000-$140,000) and support professional growth through learning and development budgets. Responsibilities For Analytics Engineer, Strategy and Analytics

  • Build and maintain data models that ingest, transform, and make complex data usable
  • Influence and improve Novo's data culture through systems, processes, training, and governance
  • Support hypothesis driven, testing culture
  • Collaborate cross functionally with data science, growth, marketing, product teams
  • Improve and maintain a modern data stack for decision making and insight generation

Requirements For Analytics Engineer, Strategy and Analytics

Python
  • Strong knowledge of SQL (ideally Snowflake)
  • Familiarity with BI tools (preferably Metabase)
  • Track record of shipping high quality products at scale
  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative field (Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science)
  • 2-4 years of experience in computer science, data engineering, data science, data analysis, or business intelligence
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment
