Nuovo Photography is seeking a talented R&D Engineer to join their innovative team focused on advancing photography studio technology across North America. This role combines hardware engineering, embedded systems development, and creative problem-solving to design and implement cutting-edge solutions for modern photography studios.

The position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and photography, where you'll be responsible for developing new products and improving existing systems. Responsibilities For Research & Development Engineer

  • Design, develop, and prototype new products and technologies for photography studio applications
  • Improve and optimize existing studio components and systems
  • Conduct research and experimentation to identify innovative solutions
  • Implement and test automation and control systems
  • Utilize CAD software and circuit design tools to create detailed designs
  • Program and integrate embedded systems and microcontrollers
  • Fabricate and assemble prototypes using 3D printing, CNC milling, laser cutting
  • Perform hands-on assembly, installation, and modification of studio components
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during development and implementation
  • Manage R&D projects, including timelines, budgets, and collaborations
  • Document and report on research findings and development progress

Requirements For Research & Development Engineer

  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Experience with circuit design tools (Altium, KiCad)
  • Programming proficiency in Python, C++, or MATLAB
  • Experience with microcontrollers (ESP32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi) and SoCs
