NVIDIA, the world leader in accelerated computing, is seeking an Automotive DriveOS Software Architect to join their automotive group. This role focuses on challenges unique to the automotive industry and NVIDIA's automotive products, with a goal of architecting solutions for safe and reliable self-driving vehicle systems.

As an Automotive DriveOS Software Architect, you'll work with various teams to architect component and system-level solutions, provide technical leadership, and drive development processes. You'll use your strong communication skills to build and drive architecture, analysis documents, and communications about NVIDIA's technology. Collaboration with chip architecture teams to improve chip designs is also a key aspect of this role.

The ideal candidate should have a Master's degree or equivalent experience, with 5+ years of proficiency in Embedded Systems and System Software. A strong understanding of multicore hardware, operating systems design, and related technologies is crucial. Experience with industrial-grade quality standards and the ability to work in a dynamic, global environment are essential.

Responsibilities For Automotive DriveOS Software Architect

  • Work with software engineers and architects in system software, virtualization, trusted OS, graphics, compute, safety/security and multimedia to architect component level and system level solutions
  • Provide insight and technical direction to resolve issues, drive development processes, and help improve processes and technologies
  • Build and drive architecture, analysis documents and communications to internal and/or external audiences about our technology
  • Collaborate with the chip architecture teams looking for opportunities to improve our chip designs

Requirements For Automotive DriveOS Software Architect

Linux
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years proficiency in Embedded Systems and System Software
  • Strong understanding of multicore hardware, operating systems design, concurrency, virtual memory, caching, interrupts, device drivers, real-time, assembler programming
  • Experience with design and development software in compliance with industrial-grade quality standards (DO-178b, ISO 26262, SPICE)
  • Clear and concise communication and presentation skills
  • Highly organized and driven, with the ability to work in a dynamic environment across multiple countries and time zones
