NVIDIA is seeking a talented Chip Design Architect to join their innovative team working on next-generation Infiniband and NVL switches. This role is crucial in shaping the future of high-performance computing, developing switches that will power advanced compute clusters from AI research supercomputers to high-performance systems in finance and research labs. The ideal candidate will lead the Fuse Architecture for Switch ASIC's, translating customer requirements into technical specifications and working closely with cross-functional teams. You'll be responsible for developing architecture specifications, conducting trade-off analyses, and overseeing implementation across multiple teams.

Responsibilities For Chip Design Architect

  • Lead the Fuse Architecture for Switch ASIC's from project definition to ASIC bring up
  • Process fuse requirements and definitions from customers into technical specifications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architecture, logic design, system software, firmware, and hardware teams
  • Develop low-speed interface architecture specifications and design guidelines
  • Conduct trade-off analysis for different architecture options
  • Oversee implementation of chosen architecture by chip design / FW / SW teams

Requirements For Chip Design Architect

  • BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of chip design architect experience or chip design / design verification experience
  • Deep understanding of how to build and integrate systems with various technology components
  • Leadership and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong managerial, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Attention to details on design and high focus on design quality
