Description For Chip Design Methodologies Engineer

NVIDIA is seeking a strong engineer with vast ASIC design experience to join the chip design methodologies team. This team is responsible for design and verification methodologies, shared code, training, and adapting new technologies. They play a crucial role in ensuring the chip design team works efficiently and delivers high-quality results.

The position offers an opportunity to think outside the box and make a real impact in a dynamic, technology-focused company. As a Chip Design Methodologies Engineer, you will:

  • Develop shared design code and solutions for wide use by the chip design team
  • Create groundbreaking methodologies and innovations for a flawless experience for chip design engineers
  • Collaborate with designers and verification specialists across teams to understand existing problems and form optimal solutions and methodologies
  • Work with the design automation team to provide end-to-end solutions combining design, verification, simulation, and automation
  • Engage with EDA vendors to learn about cutting-edge tools/technology and apply them to the development process
  • Develop and conduct training sessions

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • 3+ years of hands-on pre-silicon design experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to innovate
  • Exposure to design and verification tools

Additional qualities that would make a candidate stand out include:

  • Wide system-level understanding of chip design flows and simulation tools
  • Passion for innovation, quality, efficiency, and flow automation
  • Extensive CDC or Power experience
