You'll be responsible for creating product specifications, reviewing customer designs, and resolving system integration issues. Responsibilities For Hardware Applications Engineer, Data Center Products

  • Create product specifications, hardware design guides, application notes, and other supporting technical collateral
  • Be involved in customer interaction and communication via conference calls or face to face meetings
  • Understand system design requirements for HPC and AI workloads
  • Review customer designs regarding architecture, thermal, mechanical, schematic, layout, signal integrity
  • Work directly with NVIDIA customers and analyze data to resolve issues
  • Perform hardware debug using oscilloscope and analyzers
  • Track and file new bugs and reproduce issues
  • Resolve system integration issues related to thermal, mechanical, electrical, PCIe and GPU interconnect interfaces

Requirements For Hardware Applications Engineer, Data Center Products

  • BS or higher in EE, CE or Systems Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in supporting enterprise datacenter products
  • Minimum 5 years of experience designing and operating large scale compute infrastructure
  • Experience using Cadence Allegro Schematic Design Entry and PCB Layout
  • Experience with lab tools such as oscilloscope, multi-meters and logic analyzers
  • Background in power integrity concepts and high-speed board design methodologies
  • Experience working with internal cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in reviewing enterprise system design
  • Understanding of x86 and ARM system architecture for server design
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
