Responsibilities For Hardware Applications Engineer, Data Center Products
- Create product specifications, hardware design guides, application notes, and technical collateral
- Interact with customers via conference calls or face-to-face meetings
- Understand system design requirements for HPC and AI workloads
- Review customer designs for architecture, thermal, mechanical, schematic, layout, signal integrity
- Perform hardware debug using oscilloscope and analyzers
- Track and file new bugs and reproduce issues
- Resolve system integration issues related to thermal, mechanical, electrical, PCIe and GPU interconnect interfaces
Requirements For Hardware Applications Engineer, Data Center Products
- BS or higher in EE, CE or Systems Engineering or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of experience in supporting enterprise datacenter products
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing and operating large scale compute infrastructure
- Experience with Cadence Allegro Schematic Design Entry and PCB Layout
- Experience with lab tools such as oscilloscope, multi-meters and logic analyzers
- Background in power integrity concepts and high-speed board design
- Strong analytical skills and experience in reviewing enterprise system design
- Understanding of x86 and ARM system architecture for server design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
