Description For Manager, Deep Learning Algorithms

NVIDIA is seeking an engineering manager to lead engineering activities related to productizing Deep Learning models. This role involves leading and mentoring forward-thinking engineers, owning related activities, and interacting with teams across NVIDIA. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of deep learning, a solid algorithmic background, exposure to computer architecture and performance, and leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, mentor, and lead the execution of projects and activities of the team, including creating, optimizing, and deploying training and inference DL workloads.
  • Collaborate with internal customers to align priorities across business units.
  • Coordinate projects across different geographic locations.
  • Grow and develop a world-class team.
  • Travel to conferences, other sites, or visit customers occasionally.

Requirements:

  • BSc degree with 8 years of related experience, including 3 years of management/leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of graduate studies and experience.
  • Experience leading multiple software engineering projects.
  • Strong algorithms and Deep Learning skills or experience.
  • Excellent programming, debugging, performance analysis, and test design skills.
  • Great communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with inference of DL models.
  • Experience in performance analysis and tuning.
  • Exposure to hardware architecture, ideally accelerators, and numerical software.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project).
