Description For Physical Design Backend Engineer

NVIDIA is seeking top-tier Physical Design Engineers to join their outstanding Networking Silicon engineering team. This role involves developing industry-leading high-speed communication devices that deliver the highest throughput and lowest latency. As a Physical Design Backend Engineer, you'll be part of designing groundbreaking and innovative chips in a meaningful, growing, and highly professional environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing physical design of blocks according to specifications under challenging constraints, optimizing for power, area, and performance.
  • Working on a variety of challenging designs, including high cell count and high-speed blocks.
  • Resolving complex timing and congestion problems.
  • Engaging in all aspects of physical design chip development (RTL2GDS), including synthesis, power and clock distribution, place and route, timing closure, power and noise analysis, and physical verification.
  • Contributing to flows development.

Requirements for this role:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in RTL2GDS flows and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of physical design flows and methodologies (PNR, STA, physical verification).
  • Understanding of all aspects of Physical construction and Integration.
  • Knowledge of Physical Design Verification methodology LVS/DRC.
  • Familiarity with physical design EDA tools (such as Synopsys, Cadence, etc.).
  • Strong teamwork skills.
