Description For Principal Quality Architect

NVIDIA is seeking a Principal Quality Architect to join their team in a silicon-first role. The successful candidate will work with multi-functional teams, leading outgoing quality and reliability, availability, and serviceability (RAS) improvement initiatives for data center and automotive products. They will develop and deploy new methodologies for next-generation chip, board, and system products to increase outgoing quality metrics. The role involves mentoring junior engineers on design trade-offs including cost and quality.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading quality and RAS improvement initiatives
  • Developing new methodologies for chip, board, and system products
  • Mentoring junior engineers
  • Working with cross-functional teams

Requirements:

  • BSEE (or equivalent experience) with 18+ years of proven experience in system architecture or hardware quality management
  • Experience in defining, monitoring, and delivering quality metrics
  • Deep understanding of RAS concepts
  • Knowledge of defect mechanisms, silent-data corruption (SDC), DPPM, and chip aging estimation techniques
  • Familiarity with high-speed interface architectures (PCIe, USB3, DDR, HBM)
  • Excellent analytical skills in verification and validation of complex designs
  • Exposure to multi-functional areas including RTL & clocks design, STA, place-n-route and power
  • Outstanding communication skills
