NVIDIA is seeking a Robotics Engineering Manager to lead their Isaac Visual Mapping & Localization technology team. This role is part of Project Isaac, which is building a cutting-edge robotics platform for next-generation intelligent and autonomous robots. The platform combines high-fidelity visual and physical simulation, quality development tools, and optimized algorithms for computer vision and AI.

Responsibilities For Robotics Engineering Manager, Visual Mapping & Localization

  • Define roadmap for Isaac Visual Mapping & Localization technology
  • Drive technical decisions and designs for next-gen Visual Mapping & Localization stack
  • Mentor and supervise a team of robotics SW engineers
  • Collaborate with other Isaac teams for deployment and validation
  • Supervise and support team on design and code reviews

Requirements For Robotics Engineering Manager, Visual Mapping & Localization

Python
  • BS, MS, or PhD in electrical, mechanical, aerospace engineering, computer science or similar fields
  • 15+ years of overall industry experience
  • 4+ years proven track record on managing a team
  • Experience in designing and implementing algorithms in embedded computer vision
  • Hands-on experience with real-time autonomous system projects
  • Experience managing projects and teams
  • Excellent communication, analysis and problem solving skills
