As part of the Silicon Solutions Team, this role offers a unique opportunity to architect and deliver groundbreaking system solutions that integrate all aspects from silicon design to final deployment.

The position involves architecting next-generation power management features, evaluating industry trends, and driving system-level power optimizations across multiple platforms - from large-scale datacenters to low-power client devices. You'll lead power feature requirements and work with cross-functional teams including system architects, chip designers, software engineers, and operations.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of experience in silicon and product power management, with deep understanding of transistor physics, power modeling, and active power management. Experience with datacenter market segments is preferred. Responsibilities For Senior Power and Thermal Engineer

  • Architect next generation power management features and solutions through system architecture, design and productization
  • Evaluate industry direction and use cases for power management and optimization
  • Drive initiatives for system level power optimizations across silicon, platform, software, manufacturing and product systems
  • Lead team for power feature requirements from architecture to silicon phase
  • Develop methodologies for power modeling and measurement
  • Work with cross-functional teams to bring industry-defining products to market

Requirements For Senior Power and Thermal Engineer

  • BS or MS in EE, CE, CS, Systems Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years in silicon and product power management
  • Expertise in silicon power, transistor/device physics, power modeling and measurement
  • Experience with system level features and product binning methods
  • Experience working on product level power and performance analysis
  • Familiarity with silicon bringup and validation
  • Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with offshore teams
  • Knowledge of CPU/GPU/SoC architecture (preferred)
