NVIDIA, the world leader in accelerated computing, is seeking a Senior Power Architecture and Optimization Engineer to join their team. This role is crucial for maintaining NVIDIA's competitive edge in energy-efficient products. You'll be responsible for analyzing fullchip and unit-level power data, driving ASIC teams to improve power efficiency, and developing methodologies for enhanced energy efficiency.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in GPU and Tegra SOC development. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams including Architects, Performance Engineers, Software Engineers, ASIC Design Engineers, and Physical Design teams. Your work will directly impact the energy consumption optimization of graphics and artificial intelligence workloads.

The role combines technical expertise in power analysis, architecture design, and programming skills. You'll use both internal and industry-standard tools for pre-silicon analysis, develop best practices, and drive improvements in power efficiency. Responsibilities For Senior Power Architecture and Optimization Engineer

  • Use internally developed tools and industry standard pre-silicon gate-level and RTL power analysis tools
  • Develop and share best practices for performing pre-silicon power analysis
  • Perform comparative power analysis, to spot trends and anomalies
  • Interact with architects and RTL designers to help interpret power data and identify power bugs
  • Select and run a wide variety of workloads for power analysis
  • Prototype new architectural features in Verilog and analyze power
  • Automate flows, define new flows to fast-track Power anomaly detection
  • Use AI to come up with Power optimization solutions

Requirements For Senior Power Architecture and Optimization Engineer

Python
  • MS (or equivalent experience) with 3+ years of experience or PhD in related fields
  • Strong understanding of concepts of energy consumption, estimation, data movement and low power design
  • Familiarity with Verilog and ASIC design principles, including knowledge of Power Artist, PTPX
  • Good verbal/written English and interpersonal skills
  • Strong coding/automation skills, preferably in Python, Perl, and C++
  • Desire to bring data-driven decision-making and analytics to improve our products
