Senior QA Software Engineer - Networking

NVIDIA is seeking a top-tier Senior QA Software Test Engineer to join the NVIDIA-Cumulus system Ethernet group. This role involves testing Ethernet Switch/Router systems, participating in requirements and design reviews, developing test plans, executing tests, and creating automated test suites for Cumulus Linux features. The position also includes involvement in AI & Spectrum-X solution testing.

Key responsibilities:

• Functional / System Testing of Layer2 and Layer3 features on NVIDIA-Mellanox Spectrum series Ethernet Switch systems
• Writing detailed feature and system test plans
• Identifying and reporting issues, validating fixes and workarounds
• Developing automated test suites
• Building and maintaining automation for continuous functional regression
• Collaborating with internal engineering groups

Requirements:

• B.S. degree in Engineering/Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of demonstrable experience in Software Quality Engineering
• Strong skills in Python or other scripting languages
• Experience with L2 and L3 protocols (MLAG, VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP, EVPN, etc.)
• Proficiency with test tools from Ixia or Spirent and HP ALM
• Experience with Unix or Linux based OS
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Ethernet interface bring-up and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of performance testing
• Experience with CI methodology & tools (Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, etc.)
