Description For Senior Software Research Architect

NVIDIA is seeking an innovative Senior Software Research Architect to lead the advancement of AI data centers and networks. This role focuses on shaping the future of end-to-end AI Cloud solutions, including optimized host virtualization, Fabric technologies, and orchestration. The position combines technical leadership with being an influential ambassador for NVIDIA in open-source projects, conferences, and standard bodies.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in system software design, cloud/data-center technologies, and distributed AI or HPC systems. They will be responsible for evaluating new technologies, leading the design of sophisticated networking applications, and helping define NVIDIA's networking strategic vision.

  • Identify and evaluate new technologies, innovations and partner relationships
  • Lead design of new networking applications using data plane programming
  • Customer engagements, publishing white papers, blogs, RFCs, and conference lectures/BOFs
  • Help defining strategic vision for NVIDIA networking with software and hardware architects

Requirements For Senior Software Research Architect

Linux
  • M.Sc. or PhD. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years of practical experience
  • Expert level knowledge in Ethernet/IP technologies
  • Experience in programming network data path
  • Clear verbal and written communication with proven track record to build consensus within large organization
