Description For Switch System Validation Engineer

NVIDIA's Networking System Validation Group is seeking a Junior Switch System Validation Engineer to join their growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on NVIDIA's core network projects that drive both technological and business growth. As a team member, you'll develop expertise in networking and Switch micro-architecture while validating, optimizing, and debugging devices across various areas including Quality-of-Service, performance, logic correctness, and AI features.

Working closely with logic design, circuit design, and architects, you'll ensure successful product development through aggressive product cycles in both pre and post silicon stages. The position requires strong software development skills across Python Scripting, embedded software, and device firmware, along with experience in complex emulation environments.

Responsibilities For Switch System Validation Engineer

  • Learn system-level operation and write tests for power/performance/architecture paths of next generation products
  • Collaborate across diverse teams and utilize existing tools and processes
  • Plan and conduct experiments and gather data, with focus on automating repetitive tasks
  • Perform failure analysis of NVIDIA SOC, NIC & Switch HW products

Requirements For Switch System Validation Engineer

Python
Linux
  • B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 2+ years of experience
  • Knowledge in Python and experience with C and C++ in a Linux environment
  • Understanding and familiarity of networking designs and micro-architecture
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Prior knowledge/experience with network protocols (preferred)
  • Experience with Object Oriented Programming, Operating Systems and Multi-Threaded application development (preferred)
