Octopus by RTG is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join one of the largest retail companies in Saudi Arabia (KSA). This role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and shape the development infrastructure of a major retail organization. The position requires expertise in cloud services, particularly Azure and AWS, with Google Cloud experience being a plus.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining development tools and infrastructure, ensuring system security, and implementing automation solutions. You'll work closely with development teams to establish and maintain best practices, while also participating in project management decisions.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in both Windows and Linux/Unix administration, along with a deep understanding of cloud services and modern DevOps practices. You'll need to be proficient in maintaining always-up, always-available services and have the ability to bridge the gap between stakeholder needs and technical implementation.

Responsibilities For Senior DevOps Engineer - Octopus by RTG

  • Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure
  • Understand stakeholder needs and convey to developers
  • Automate and improve development and release processes
  • Test and examine code written by others and analyze results
  • Ensure systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
  • Identify technical problems and develop software updates and fixes
  • Work with developers to ensure development follows established processes
  • Plan out projects and be involved in project management decisions

Requirements For Senior DevOps Engineer - Octopus by RTG

Linux
Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field
  • Strong background in Windows and Linux/Unix Administration
  • Experience with Azure and AWS (required), Google Cloud (plus)
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
