Description For Heating Engineer

Octopus Energy Services is seeking Heating Engineers to install Air Source Heat Pumps as part of their mission to drive the global renewable energy revolution. The role involves working as part of a team to install low carbon technology in customers' homes, focusing initially on Air Source Heat Pumps. Responsibilities include using knowledge and experience of heat pump installations to deliver an excellent customer experience, reviewing technical specifications, collaborating with electricians, and continuously learning about new technologies at the company's innovative R&D training centre.

Ideal candidates should have experience in the installation of heating systems, with G3 (unvented cylinder) qualification or proven experience. Experience with Air Source Heat Pumps is a plus, but not required as full training is provided. The role requires a full UK driving license with no more than 6 points.

The position offers a competitive salary of £38,000 basic (£45,000 on-target earnings) with overtime available, plus additional benefits such as a £2,500 annual performance bonus, share options in Octopus Energy, a £25 per week lunch allowance, and a company vehicle with fuel. The company also provides support for personal development in Renewable Tech and a training programme at their groundbreaking R&D centre.

Responsibilities For Heating Engineer

  • Working as part of a team to install low carbon technology in customers' homes - starting with Air Source Heat Pumps

Requirements For Heating Engineer

  • G3 (unvented cylinder) qualification OR proven experience
  • Experience in the installation of boilers
  • Experience as a plumbing and heating engineer with knowledge of heating system design and the ability to fault find
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
