Software Engineer, Engineering Productivity (Customer Identity)

Okta, The World's Identity Company, is seeking a Software Engineer for their Engineering Productivity team in the Customer Identity Cloud (CIC). This role is crucial in enhancing the productivity of CIC Engineers by providing tools, frameworks, and abstractions that remove bottlenecks and promote modern development practices.

As a Software Engineer in this team, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing tools and services that positively impact engineering productivity. Your work will involve creating tools to support good development practices, instrumenting existing tools and pipelines to understand their impact on the engineering experience, and researching market and industry trends in development.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Collaborating with a team of engineers and a product manager to own tools and services end-to-end.
2. Developing new features, APIs, improvements, and fixes to handle current and future scale.
3. Working on API design and implementation, services, and CLIs.
4. Assisting other Auth0 Engineers in efficiently working with the Platform.
5. Evangelizing new tool offerings to Auth0 Engineers.

The ideal candidate should have strong communication and collaboration skills, a passion for understanding and improving the development lifecycle, and experience with Node.js, JavaScript, Go, or similar languages. Familiarity with server-side applications and tooling is essential, as is an autonomous work style with a continuous improvement mindset.

While not required, experience with Cloud Providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), container technology (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS), and familiarity with Engineering Productivity frameworks like DORA or SPACE would be beneficial.
