As a Software Engineer on our Data Platform team, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our data infrastructure. This position involves designing and maintaining data pipelines, warehouses, and supporting ML operations at scale. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies like Databricks, Spark, and Python to build robust data solutions.
The ideal candidate brings 3-7 years of experience in data platform engineering, with expertise in Apache Spark, Python, and SQL. You'll be responsible for everything from implementing streaming data pipelines to establishing MLOps workflows and ensuring data security and scalability.
We offer a competitive compensation package ranging from $175,000 to $220,000, along with comprehensive benefits including equity, flexible work arrangements, and a 401(k) match. Responsibilities For Software Engineer - Data Platform
- Design, implement, and maintain robust streaming and batch data pipelines using Databricks, Spark, and Python
- Ensure data infrastructure is reliable, secure, and scalable
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and proactively improve data infrastructure
- Build and optimize data platforms and warehouses
- Assist in the re-architecture of batch pipelines to streaming pipelines
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts
- Establish and maintain MLOps workflows
- Drive feature engineering and create systems to stage and serve features for machine learning
Requirements For Software Engineer - Data Platform
- 3-7 years of experience in software engineering for a data platform
- Expertise in Apache Spark for large-scale data processing
- Advanced knowledge of production-level Python
- Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and ETL processes
- Experience with real-time streaming technologies such as Kafka or Kinesis
- Familiarity with MLOps practices and workflows
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively
