OpenAI is seeking an Analytics Engineer to lead their Executive Reporting initiatives. This crucial role involves building and maintaining executive dashboards using Tableau that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. The position offers a competitive salary range of $325K-$405K plus equity and comprehensive benefits.

As an Analytics Engineer at OpenAI, you'll be the key point of contact for executive-level reporting, ensuring data reliability and setting best practices for dashboard creation company-wide. The role requires expertise in Tableau, strong SQL skills, and experience with data modeling and ETL processes. You'll work closely with Data Science and Business partners to deliver actionable insights through intuitive visualizations.

Responsibilities For Analytics Engineer, Executive Reporting

  • Collaborate with Data Science & Business partners to understand reporting needs and deliver dashboards
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance executive dashboards using Tableau
  • Define, document, and maintain clear definitions of key business metrics
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and performance of underlying data queries
  • Establish standards and best practices for dashboard development
  • Partner cross-functionally with data engineering, analytics, and business teams

Requirements For Analytics Engineer, Executive Reporting

  • 5+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Business Intelligence, or similar data-focused role
  • Advanced expertise in Tableau for developing executive-level dashboards
  • Strong SQL skills with experience optimizing queries
  • Exceptional skills in metric definition, documentation, and communication
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience with data modeling and ETL processes
