Developer Advocate, Developer Experience - Japan

OpenAI is seeking a Developer Advocate to join their Developer Experience team in Tokyo, Japan. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between OpenAI's cutting-edge AI technology and the developer community. The Developer Experience team is dedicated to empowering developers worldwide to build on the OpenAI platform, ensuring they have the best tools, resources, and support needed to integrate AI into their applications successfully.

The position offers a unique opportunity to work with the latest AI models and capabilities, including GPT-4 Turbo, Vision, Whisper, and TTS. You'll be responsible for creating high-quality sample applications, technical content, and developer tools that serve everyone from hobbyist developers to Fortune 500 companies. The role involves close collaboration with research and API teams as new models are launched.

As a Developer Advocate, you'll play a vital role in shaping the developer community around OpenAI's technologies. You'll create educational content, engage with developers, gather feedback, and serve as an ambassador for the platform. The position requires a strong technical background, particularly in full-stack engineering and AI/LLM experience, combined with excellent communication and community-building skills.

The role operates on a hybrid work model with 3 days in the office per week, and relocation assistance is provided.
