As part of the IT team at OpenAI, you will work in a secure, employee-focused, and highly technical environment. The IT team supports Mac endpoints, their management tools, local network, and AV infrastructure. We're looking for an IT Support Engineer who will assist with hardware and software support for on-premise and remote Tokyo Mac Endpoints, AV/Video Conference Systems, and Identity Access Management.
In this role, you will:
- Provide day-to-day IT Support for our Tokyo Team Members, as well as expanded Global Support to other Geos as needed including AMER, EMEA and APAC.
- Coordinate and manage procurement, deployment and handling of IT Assets with our IT Logistics Coordinator and Tokyo Office Manager.
- Lead Onboarding and Offboarding Programs with cross-functional partnerships to ensure seamless Employee Lifecycle Management.
- Maintain AV/Networking components and services, troubleshoot known errors and outages, and manage enhancements.
Key qualifications:
- Excellent native level communicator in both Japanese and English
- Complete Mac and macOS troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Windows or Linux, Python, Bash, or Apple Script is a plus
- Understanding of identity and asset management solutions like AzureAD, Okta, Jamf, and Intune
- Experience with collaboration software and solving problems within the TCP/IP stack
- Hands-on experience with AV and telecom systems
